Adaptation is the adjustment or changes in behaviour, physiology, and structure of an organism to become more suited to an environment. An adaptation is the way an animal's body helps it to survive, or remain alive. Animals depend on their physical features to help them obtain food, keep safe, build homes, withstand weather, and attract mates.
Many animals develop adaptations exclusive to their survival in their distinct environment, for example a fish would not need to develop climbing abilities as it spends its entire life in the ocean. Many adaptations that we have seen are truly remarkable, all of which have sculpted the way we see animals to this very day.
